Sunday School Curriculum

A desire was voiced years ago within our fellowship that a Sunday School curriculum for our churches might be developed and made accessible at a minimal cost. There was a longing that material might be developed which would reflect our own identity as an association of Reformed Baptist churches and that would be true to the doctrinal framework of the 1689 London Baptist Confession. As a result the Sunday School Project came into being during a regular meeting of the Publication Committee.

The following Sunday school material is being posted so that you might know what has been developed in Reformed Baptist circles. Bob Walton’s material (and those working with him) from Faith Reformed Baptist Church is widely used within our association. It is the most complete of all the material reviewed (and it keeps being added unto yearly). Jane Eshelman of Grace Baptist Church of Carlisle, PA has developed an excellent pre-school curriculum that could easily be used by any church.  Pauline Trummel in the Truth for Eternity Sunday School Project has written a four year study for grades 3 - 6 that will take the student through the Old Testament in 2 years and the New Testament in 2 years.

Other material reviewed but already on the web: Desiring God (Piper); Great Commission Publications (Presbyterian); LiFE – Living In Faith Every Day (Christian Reformed); and Bible Way (Christian Reformed).
