| Personnel | | Coordinator - Rev. Gordon Taylor (w/ wife-Rayna) Duties Gordon Taylor is called by the member churches of ARBCA to devote himself fulltime to the work of coordinating the cooperative work of the churches in the areas of Foreign Missions (RBMS), Home Missions (CPC), Theological Education (IRBS), and Publications. He also travels to member churches to preach, present mission reports, and serve in whatever way he may be asked. He also visits non-member churches to present the work of ARBCA. When traveling to visit the missionaries he attempts to gain an understanding of their work, learn the culture, and to assist them in whatever way they desire. He then reports back to the churches to encourage a greater burden for prayer, support and involvement in missions. His wife, Rayna, accompanies him as much as possible.
Biography Gordon served two Baptist churches as pastor during his almost 39 years of pastoral ministry. He was pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Greene, IA from 1969 to 1975. In May of 1975 he began a thirty-three year ministry at the Sycamore Baptist Church near East Moline, IL. While at Sycamore he led the church through a reformation, which culminated in adopting the 1689 Confession in 1987. The church joined RBMS in 1995 and ARBCA in 1998. Gordon was appointed by the churches of ARBCA to serve as Coordinator in 2008. Gordon and Rayna have four married children and nine grandchildren. |  | Administrative Assistant - Vickie Bookamer Duties Vickie serves the churches of ARBCA by serving with the Coordinator in the administration of the office. She provides bookkeeping, financial reporting, and database management for the Association. Vickie prepares mailings to the churches in the form of weekly emails, the quarterly ARBCA Update, as well as many other mailings. She fulfills various duties for all the committees of ARBCA and produces the paperwork for the annual General Assembly. It is her heart’s desire to be an effective servant for the churches and missionaries of the Association.
Biography Vickie Bookamer has served as the Administrative Assistant of ARBCA since August of 2001. Vickie is a member of Grace Baptist Church in Carlisle, PA. |  |
